Nearly one hundred transparent layers of paint were applied to build up the deep colour emulating the water in lakes and ponds in the Alberta Rocky Mountains.  The sky is reflecting on the water making a perfect canvas for the ammolite to come to life and paint the landscape with its unique and ancient beauty.  The artist and the stone are one in a dance that will draw you into the realm of the fantastic.
